Win a wall-mounted heat pump installed for free

The contest runs from September 5, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. to September 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. inclusively.

Only one eligible entry is permitted per person and per address for the entire duration of the contest.

The winner will be selected at random among all eligible entries and will be contacted starting Monday, September 21, 2026, by phone and/or email, using the contact information provided in the entry form.

To enter, the interested person must complete the official form available at groupevvs.com/concours and provide the requested information, including their name, contact details and the address of the home where the installation would be carried out.

No purchase is required to enter.

Any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, contains false information or does not comply with the requirements of these rules may be declared ineligible.

To be eligible, the entrant must:

• be a natural person at least 18 years of age, or have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry;
• reside in the territory served by Groupe VVS;
• provide valid contact information allowing Groupe VVS to reach them;
• own the home where the installation will be performed;
• provide the address of the home where the prize will be installed;
• comply with all the conditions of these official rules.

Tenants are not eligible for the contest, as the prize must be installed in a home owned by the entrant.

The prize is personal to the winner, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or another product.

Groupe VVS reserves the right to verify the identity, address, ownership status and eligibility of any entrant, as well as the accuracy of the information provided.

The prize consists of: One (1) Direct Air HXPro 12,000 BTU -35 °C wall-mounted heat pump, including a standard installation performed by Groupe VVS, subject to the installation being technically feasible, safe and compliant with applicable standards, codes and regulations.

The prize includes only the items expressly provided for in article 5.

The standard installation includes:

• 15 ft of insulated refrigerant piping, 1/4 in and 3/8 in
• 15 ft of 14/4 PVC control cable
• 15 ft of 5/8 in flexible drain
• 20 ft of 14/2 NMWU75 electrical cable
• 1 two-pole breaker (Siemens, Square D, Stab-Lok, Commander (QBH) or Eaton), subject to availability and compatibility
• 1 pull-out 60 A disconnect switch
• 4 anti-vibration pads
• 2 aluminum line covers in the standard colours stocked by Groupe VVS
• 1 aluminum wall bracket 16 x 24 in OR a ground stand 14 x 26 in, depending on the installation configuration
• Nitrogen pressure test
• Vacuum procedure
• Start-up of the unit
• Operation verification
• Full explanation of how the unit works, given to the winner

Any work, material, equipment or modification not expressly provided for in article 5 is excluded from the prize. This may include, in particular:

• additional piping length
• additional wiring
• electrical modification or addition
• electrical panel modification
• non-standard breaker or electrical equipment
• plumbing or drainage work
• finishing work
• drilling or specific building modification
• structural work
• special bracket
• specific equipment or materials
• work required to bring the location up to code
• lift or hoisting equipment

No lift or hoisting equipment is included in the prize.

The prize is limited to a standard installation accessible from the ground and/or that can be performed safely on an exterior wall using the means normally used by Groupe VVS.

Where additional work is required, it must be approved and paid for by the winner before it is carried out.

Being selected as the winner does not constitute a guarantee that the installation can be performed.

Before definitively confirming the installation, Groupe VVS may carry out an evaluation or inspection of the building and the planned location to determine whether the installation can be performed safely and in compliance. Groupe VVS determines, according to its professional and technical assessment, whether the conditions allow the installation to be carried out.

No installation will be performed if Groupe VVS considers that it presents a risk to people, the building, the equipment or the integrity of the installation, or if it cannot be performed in compliance with applicable standards, codes and regulations.

If the installation cannot reasonably be performed under the conditions set out in these rules, Groupe VVS may: propose another reasonably feasible configuration; propose that the additional work be carried out at the winner's expense; or, where no reasonable solution is possible, declare the selected entrant ineligible and proceed to select another eligible entrant.

The winner will be selected at random among eligible entries. Groupe VVS will attempt to contact the selected entrant using the contact information provided in the form.

The selected entrant must respond to the first communication attempt or, at the latest, within three (3) business days following the first communication attempt.

The prize may be forfeited and another entrant may be selected if the selected entrant: cannot be reached within the prescribed time; refuses the prize; does not meet the eligibility conditions; provides false, incomplete or misleading information; cannot provide proof of ownership of the home when requested; or if the installation cannot reasonably be performed in accordance with these rules.

The prize is personal to the winner and non-transferable. It cannot be sold, assigned, exchanged or converted into cash.

Groupe VVS reserves the right to replace the advertised model or prize with a product of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable or cannot be supplied as described.

To the extent permitted by law, Groupe VVS inc., its officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents cannot be held liable for any damages, losses, injuries or inconveniences arising from participation in the contest or from the acceptance, installation or use of the prize, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Groupe VVS cannot be held liable for the impossibility of performing the installation due, in particular, to technical, structural, electrical, regulatory, accessibility or safety constraints, existing building conditions, or any other circumstance reasonably beyond its control.

Groupe VVS does not guarantee that the unit will be eligible for a subsidy, rebate program or any other government financial assistance.

The entrant is responsible for providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information. Any decision by Groupe VVS regarding an entrant's eligibility or the interpretation or application of these rules is final, subject to applicable laws.

Groupe VVS reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to modify, suspend or cancel the contest when an event, a situation beyond its control, a technical or administrative error, a regulatory constraint or any other circumstance prevents its normal operation.

Any material change to the contest will be communicated appropriately.

The approximate total value of the prize, including the unit and the standard installation described in these rules, is $3,700 CAD before taxes.

This value is established based on the estimated retail value at the time these rules were drafted and may vary.

The winner is responsible for any tax consequences that may arise from accepting the prize, where applicable, in accordance with applicable laws.

The prize includes a Groupe VVS commercial labour warranty of one (1) year from the date the unit is started up, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in these rules. This warranty covers only Groupe VVS labour relating to defects in the installation performed by Groupe VVS that are eligible under the applicable warranty. It is not an unlimited warranty on the unit, its components or its operation.

Maintenance required by the manufacturer

The unit is also subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions and maintenance requirements. The manufacturer requires the unit to be maintained and cleaned in accordance with its recommendations. Compliance with these maintenance requirements is therefore mandatory in order to maintain the conditions applicable to the manufacturer's warranties.

Mandatory annual maintenance by Groupe VVS

In order to maintain the Groupe VVS commercial labour warranty, the winner must have a complete preventive maintenance and cleaning of the unit performed at least once (1) per twelve (12) month period following the start-up of the unit, exclusively by Groupe VVS inc. This annual maintenance is an essential condition for maintaining the commercial labour warranty offered by Groupe VVS as part of this contest.

The winner is responsible for contacting Groupe VVS to schedule the annual maintenance within the required timeframes. Groupe VVS is not required to send a reminder to the winner, and the absence of a reminder does not constitute an exemption from this obligation. The winner must keep the invoice or work order attesting that the maintenance was performed by Groupe VVS.

Failure to perform the mandatory annual maintenance, or having this maintenance performed by another company, may result in the loss of the Groupe VVS commercial labour warranty, in particular where the defect or problem is related, directly or indirectly, to a lack of maintenance, inadequate maintenance or the intervention of a third party.

Intervention by another company

No other company, person or technician may perform cleaning, maintenance, repair, modification, relocation, disassembly or any other intervention on the unit or the installation without the prior written authorization of Groupe VVS. Where another company or person intervenes on the unit or the installation without the prior written authorization of Groupe VVS, Groupe VVS reserves the right to refuse to provide any subsequent service, diagnosis, maintenance or repair on the unit or the installation, in particular where this intervention prevents Groupe VVS from verifying or guaranteeing the integrity, compliance or safety of the installation.

An unauthorized third-party intervention may also result in the loss of the Groupe VVS commercial labour warranty. Groupe VVS cannot be held liable for damages, defects or problems resulting from an intervention performed by a third party. Travel, diagnosis, repair or compliance costs arising from an unauthorized intervention may be charged to the winner.

Routine maintenance at the winner's expense

The winner remains responsible for the routine maintenance of the unit, including:

• clean the filters regularly, at least every two months or more frequently depending on use;
• maintain the required clearances around the outdoor unit;
• ensure the condensate drain remains clear and functional;
• check the operation of the condensate pump where one is installed;
• keep air inlets and outlets clear;
• promptly report to Groupe VVS any anomaly, leak, unusual noise, drainage problem or malfunction.

Any problem resulting from inadequate or neglected maintenance may be excluded from the Groupe VVS commercial labour warranty.

The heat pump is subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions and requirements. The winner acknowledges that compliance with the maintenance and use requirements established by the manufacturer may be necessary to maintain the applicable warranties. The commercial labour warranty offered by Groupe VVS is separate from the manufacturer's warranty.

Where Groupe VVS intervenes in connection with a manufacturer's warranty claim, the decision regarding the eligibility of a part or component under the manufacturer's warranty belongs to the manufacturer where the manufacturer is responsible for that warranty.

Costs not covered by the applicable warranty, including costs arising from a lack of maintenance, improper use, a modification, an unauthorized intervention or a particular building condition, may be charged to the winner where permitted by law. Nothing in these rules is intended to limit, exclude or replace the warranties or rights granted to the winner under applicable laws.

Personal information collected as part of the contest is used for the purposes necessary to administer the contest, in particular to verify the eligibility of entrants, contact the winner and organize the delivery and installation of the prize.

Groupe VVS takes appropriate measures to protect the personal information it holds. Personal information is not used for other purposes incompatible with those for which it was collected, except where permitted by law or where the entrant has consented.

The entrant may exercise the rights granted to them under applicable privacy legislation, including their rights of access and rectification and, where applicable, their right to withdraw consent. Requests relating to personal information may be sent to Groupe VVS at the contact details set out in article 18.

These rules are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Quebec and by the federal laws of Canada applicable in Quebec. Any dispute relating to the contest or the application of these rules will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and may be submitted to the competent courts.
